JOSHUA 1:6-9 God gave Joshua the key to victory and success in the life, God gave people the promise of a land of blessings is to strong and courageous. The dynamic key to strengthen, courage, prosperity and success is a three-port principal that consists of continuity reacting the word of God, meditating day and night in the world, and doing what the world says to do.
God is very clear, to His people will submit to Him and will speak the word meditate the word and do what the word says to do, then they will be over comers in life.
MATHEW 6:1-6 DON'T BE 'HYBOCRITE Jesus warned against putting on an outward show of spiritually, again, Jesus was saying to his people. Don't take it. True Christians are open and transparent. They are aware of the fact that his God in them who produces true spiritually and righteousness and so they don't fall into the trop and trying to act like a Christian, instead, they allow the fruit of the spirit to result in their lives because of their walk with him
OUR BELIEVES
1. We believe in one God, eternally existing as father, son, and holy spirit. Matt. 28:19, GaI 4:4-6; Eph.2:6,13-18; 1 John 5:1-3.
2. We believe that Jesus Christ is the son ofGod, and that He was conceived of the Holy spirit and born ofthe virgin Mary. Luke 1:35; Matt. 1:20-25.
3. We believe that the Holy spirit convicts sin, effects the New Birth, gives guidance in life, empowers for service, and enables perseverance in faith and holiness. John 16:711,13.
4. We believe that the Bible is the divinely inspired word of God, revealing God and His will, both in the Old testament and New testament. Luke 1:70; II Tim 3:16; II Peter 1:20,21.
5. We believe that in the beginning God created all things. He made man in His own image, with a free will, a moral character, and a spiritual nature, Col. 1:16,17,17 I John 1:1-13.
6. We believe that man, through unbeliefand disobedience fell into sins, bringing depravity and death upon the human race, that man as a sinner is self-centered and self-willed, unable to redeem himself Rom. 3:10-18, 23,5: 12.
7. We believe that there is one Mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus, who shed blood and died on the Calvary, to redeem us from sin, was resurrected from the dead, ascended to heaven, and is sitting at the right hand ofthe father interceding for us. John 3:16, Heb.9:12-14, 10:12; Col. 1:20-22
8. We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Christ -a free gift bestowed by God on all who believe Christ, repent of their sins, are born again, and walk in newness of life. Eph.2:8,9; John 3:3,5; Rom 6: 1-7, 10:9,10.
9. We believe that the church is the body of Christ, and that all those who are born again and walk in obedience to the word of God, constitute the true church of which Christ is the head.Eph 1:22,23;Col. 1:18;IJohn 1:7;ITim.3:15.
10. We believe that God provides the church with the necessary leadership, such that bishops, ministers, evangelists, and deacons, to shepherd the flock, teach the word, administer the ordinances, and lead the church in the exercise of discipline. Eph. 4:11-16.
11. We believe that Christ commissioned the church to: evangelize the world, make disciples of all men and teach them to follow Him in a Biblical walk of life, and to minister to the needs of all people. Mark. 16:15; Matt. 28:19,20; I John 3:17.
12. We believe that those who repent and believe should be Baptist with the spirit, cleansing from sin, commitment to Christ, and separation from evil. Matt. 28:19; Acts 2:38, 10;44;-48; I Pet. 3:2.
13. We believe that the church should observe the communion of the Lord's supper as a symbol ofHis broken body and shed blood, in a common union of believers with Christ and one another. I Cor. 10:16-21, 11:23-26.
14. We believe that Christ taught both by example and by commandment; that feetwashing is a symbol of brother hood, service and humility, and should be observed literally. John 13:3-17.
15. We believe that the holy kiss should be practiced as a symbol of Christian love among the believers, brother with brother, and sister with sister. Rom. 16: 16, I Pet. 5: 14.
16. We believe that God established unique roles of authority for man and woman. Therefore, a man's head is to be uncovered in praying and prophesying, and the woman's head is to be veiled, and her hair uncut, signifying their acceptance of God's order. I Cor. 11:1-16.
17. We believe that the anointing with oil, accompanied by the prayer of faith, is honored by God in the restoration ofphysical health, in accordance to His wilL James 5:14,15.
18. We believe that marriages are intended by God to be union of one man and one woman for life, and that the believers shall marry only in the Lord. Heb. 13:4; Mark 10:6-9.
19. We believe that the personal appearance and life style ofChristian men and women should be modest, free from worldly fashion and adornment, maintaining simplicity in all areas of life, living as strangers and pilgrims in this world; seeking a city not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. Rom. 12:1,2; James 4:4; I John 2:15-17
20. We believe that Christians should not take part in any destruction of human life, nor in any acts of retaliation. Instead, they should live a nonresistant life style, demonstrating the love of Christ in their daily walk. Matt. 5:39-46;John 18:36;Rom 12:19-21
21. We believe that the church and state are ordained of God as separate entities in His divine plan, and that believers should honor rules and be subject to their authority and pray for them. Rom. 13:1-7; I Peter 2:13-17.
22. We believe that the unrepentant, fallen brother or sister shall be excommunicated from the body of Christ in the spirit of love, and shall be received back into fellowship upon repentance and amendment of life. I Cor.5:1-13;IICor.6:14.
23. We believe in the second coming of Lord Jesus Christ, the blessed hope believers, and that upon His return He will resurrect the righteous to eternal bliss in heaven, and the unrighteous to eternal damnation in hell. He will sit on the throne ofHis glory, judging an nations in the last day. I Thess. 4-:16,17; Matt. 25:31-43.
.Jesus said "whom say ye that I am?" Mark 8:29 "God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world through h irn might be saved" (John 3:16,17) "In this was manifested (shown) the love ofGod towards us, because that God sent his only begotten son into the world, that we might live through him" (1 John 3:16,17). Do you know God's son? The Bible, God's personal message to us, gives more than 120 different names for him .In Luke 1:30,31 , 35 we read that the angels Gabriel told Jesus Mother Mary,"fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. And behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb and bring forth a son, and shall call His name Jesus. The Holy Spirit shall come thee and the power ofthe Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the son of God. When Jesus lived on the earth many years ago, He taught in many different places. On the one occasion when Jesus was in the northern area ofPalestine with his disciples. He provided plenty of food for about 4000 people from 7 loaves of bread and a few fish. After this disciples went with Jesus to Bethsaida where he healed a blind man. Jesus later led his disciples away from the crowds to the cool and pleasant foothills of Mount Hennon outside the city ofCaeserea Philippi.
THE CHACTER OF GOD
God's character may be rightly under stood as holy love. We need both these words to describe Him properly~ and if ever we separate His holiness from His love, or His love from his holiness ,we have a poor and a one -sided idea of God. in the very earliest use of1anguage~ the word holy means that God was part of us but in the Bible it means, more especially the apartness of God through His purity and faithfulness and truth. In this that the Bible means when it says in Joshua 24: 19; Isaiah 6:3; and 57: 15. in Isaiah 5:16 we learn that it is only by righteousness that we honor the holiness ofGod. Peter reminds that Christians of this day that because God is holy, He expects holiness from them. Find this in I Peter 1:IS,16. On account ofGod's holiness He must resist all evils and punish all sin. God's wrath is the expression ofHis holiness when it is in the presence of iniquity and sin.
Matthew 14:25-31 HOW TO WORK ON WATER
Jesus was walking on the water and called for Peter to join him (VV28,29) as long as Peter kept his mind fixed-cin 'Jesus command to walk on the water, he did fine . However as soon as he took his mind off Jesus and began to consider the physical impossibilit;y of the situation, he became afraid and began to sink. When God calls us to walk on the water on our impossible it's then we must stand strong in the fact that we serve a God who does the impossible. Every follower of Jesus Christ will be called to faith stretching places in lite, if we reject our fears and choose to trust Christ, He will bring about the circulars in our lives and ministry.
MATTHEW 22:1-4 INVITATION TO A WEDDING FEAST
Jesus compared the Kingdom of heaven to great wedding celebration. Jesus pointed out that many who had been invited to the feast had refused to come (V3) likewise, many of those invited to God to live with him eternally in heaven have refused to acknowledge their invitation. Although many are called it is impossible to be in wedding celebration without wearing a garment (VV.II-13) the wedding garment symbolizes being clothed in the righteousness that Christ provided through believing in Him God obedience to the will ofGod Matthew 18:18-35).
KINGDOM OF GOD FORGIVENESS
It is so easy for us to forget how gracious God has been in forgiving others. This parable warns against such smallness of soul. Here Jesus showed how unforgiveness can bring a person into bondage. (note the jailed fellow servant is still in prison is advised to extend forgiving heart toward all other persons.) Kingdom privileges. and power must not be potentially dangerous to any to any of us. Matt. 18:18,19 is frequently quoted to assert the bind and lose is quickly shown to be of much of liability of an asset is forgiveness remains in the people ofGod's Kingdom Mat1: 18:1-4 Gen. 1:26-28; 2:16-17. Mark 9:38-40 (warning Against division)
Tragically today, there are many voices seeking within the body ofChrist. There are schims, forcitions, theological disputes and different beliefs within the body of Christ in conflict with each other yet Jesus warned that it is wrong to exclude believers just because they don't do everything the way we do or belong to our particular group or denomination. Qf Christ in conflict within each other believers just because they don't do everything the way we do or belong to our particular group or denom~ation.we are
encouraged to built bridges and not walls in the body ofChrist through love. Acceptance and affrighting of all true believers in Jesus Christ, no matter what denomination they belong to.
BUILD YOUR HOUSE ONA. ROCK
Many people seems to have it all in life-money, power and fame. But still their lives come crashing down. Only Jesus Christ and the reality of God's word. People who build their live on any time other than the solid foundation will find that when the winds of change come, t.hey often do in life, the lives on anything popularity, first string from us looks a relationship, promise God that Christ that Christ cannot be taken from us (Luke 10:38-42) nor can be scorched out of his hand (John 10:29), forsake us(Heb.13:5) that is true personal security. Matthew 26:36-56)
GETHSEMANE EXPERIENCE
Jesus went to the garden of Gethsemane to pray to God. In this time of prayer, Jesus knew that he was going to experience physical death and also take upon himself the sins ofthe world. He even asked God if he could be spared this intense agony, yet he immediately said, " nevertheless not of I will but of your will (v39) in other words. He died to his own will and accepted the will of God for his life Not only did Jesus none to wrest with his flesh, but every believer in Jesus Christ will have to surrender in Jesus worned watch and pray lest you enter into temptation the spirit indeed is willing but the flesh is week(v41) this files in the force of today's popular idle that we should grafting our every desire, God will give us fleshly desirey and self-will if we will remind constant in Watchfulness and proper.
READ EXPECT THE COMING OF CHRIST Mathew 25:1-13
The problem of wise and foolish virgins in the parable of the wise and foolish virgin Jesus thoughts the necessity of preordered for his return he compared the second coming to joyful wedding procession in which the unprepared cannot participate the five wise virgins unlike the foolish ones were prepared for the unexpected delay of the bridegroom by having an extra supply of oil in their lamps the bridegroom is Jesus Christ Matthew 25:32-44 (the second coming of Jesus)
Jesus talked of his return or second coming of eternity we could count on . of the building of trees signifies the coming of the summer the sing described by Jesus will give warning of his coming, Jesus comported the days of the coming of son of man to the days of Noah, in Noah duly people were occupied with their lives and laughed at Noah for building this huge ark when there was no water or vain in sight. In the same way many people today are so wrapped up in "making a living and satisfying their own needs that they are missing the signs of his returns. Jesus wants us always to live our lives in total preparedness for him return. We are joyously to expect the second coming of we are faithful and responsible in our service tor him.
Dear freind in Chist,
But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made right by the blood of Christ. Ephesians 2: I3. following is a study of Eph. 2:8-22 for your edification. . None of us come to Christ with any advantage over anyone. We are not in the family of God because we have Christian parents or belong to a certain family. All Christians are converts. All were sinners in need of conversion all come to the foot of the cross, to Jesus Christ. confessing ourselves as sinners in need of God's forgiveness· and mercy. all the apostle Paul might have had to his credit, he renounced for the privilege, ofJ:1aving Christ. This lesson present several contrasts. The first is what we were and what we are now by Gods mercy. The second is what we were as Gentiles and what we are now in Christ Jesus. Both Jew and Gentile need to be reconciled to God. There is a third emphasis what-we can be.
WHAT WE WERE
Paul is addressing those who have been made alive spiritually. He referred to their past life of sins as being dead in sin. He described their walk as under the control of the devil and influenced by their own sinful nature and its unholy desires. But God came into the picture and things chunged. 'THANK GOD FOR HIS MERCY . God is loving juddge who is also just and righteous in His Judgment. Men will be judged according to their deeds. All have sinned and not one will escape for those who refuse God's offer of mercy. His mercy and grace provided for our salvation from eternal torment. His forgiveness for those who guilty is truly a gift from God. Those whoe are guilty have no grounds upon which to stand in asking for acquittal. Man cannot earn or merit forgiveness. No amount of god work can buy his way into heaven. some seem to have faith in faith, but faith itself does not merit God's forgiveness. Certain conditions must be made in order to receive our Lord's forgiveness, but none of them are not the cause of our salvation. Repentance, salvation and faith are important, but the only cause or reasons for man being declared in right relationship with God is the MERCY AND GRACE OF GOD. His love provided for Our redemption. WE RECEIVE IT BY FAITH AS A GIFT.!
Both Jews and Gentiles who are Christians are the work of God's spirit-new creatures in Christ. His presence in us makes possible the good works that will glorify our father who is in heaven. Even the "good things" in a sinners life are not good, for they are not done for the glory of God. They that are in the flesh cannot please God ( Romans 8:8) WHAT CHRIST DID -verses 13-18 The final portion of this chapter repeats the same theme but with a different approach. Both parts of the chapter speaks of the past life of bondage to sin. Both refer to what God or Christ did to free us and both speak of our condition now that salvation has come to us. Verse 4 begins with "But God," and verse 13 begins with "But now in Christ Jesus." Both describes what the Trinity did in our behalf. As Gentiles, we were not part of the people of God. We were not in line for the promises God made to Abrahim. We were without hope and without God. What a dark picture! Now in Christ and through his blood we can draw near to God. His work on Calvary brings all men together in one family. The enmity that existed between Jew and Gentiles has been abolished and there is peace. Jesus said, "Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine" Matthew 7:6 . he was using the descriptive terms that Jews used referring to those who were not Jews. The Samaritan woman asked Jesus. "why do you, a Jew, ask drink of me a Samaritan? The Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans, "she notice that His attitude was not like the usual Jew.
